R&B Legend Will Downing and local civic leader, Tarence Wheeler teamed up to donate coats and cold weather gear to River Rouge High School students. “As you know when students don’t have winter coats, often times they don’t come to school. Our goal [was] to collect 500 coats & hats, we must alleviate all barriers to education,” said Wheeler.

You can help keep a child warm this winter. Tarence Wheeler has teamed up with Marathon to host a coat donation drive for school children in grades K-5.
New coats, hats, scarves, gloves and mittens can be dropped off at River Rouge High School (1460 W. Collidge Hwy.) on Wednesday, December 14. The goal is to collect at least 500 coats.
