Although snow in April is not uncommon in Michigan, the sight of any snow after this winter will cause anyone to revert quickly back into the winter blues. However, the upside is that we all have been witness to Michigan’s snowiest winter ever.
According to the National Weather Service we saw a snowfall overnight of 3.1 inches. Which was enough to break the snowfall record for one season of 93.6 inches set in 1880-1881.
The new record: 94.8 inches (2013-2014). Hopefully the snow has won the trophy and will not make another appearance until winter returns this year. Ending on a good note, according to weather reports, Spring weather will return on Thursday with a sunny high of 60 degrees.
