Michigan Chronicle senior editor, Bankole Thompson, is no longer with the
weekly newspaper. With the departure of Thompson, the near 80-year old
newspaper will continue to amplify its multi-media strategy along with
expanding its editorial voice.
“Bankole has been a tremendous asset to the Michigan Chronicle and we wish
him the best in all of his future endeavors,” said Hiram E. Jackson,
publisher of the Michigan Chronicle and chief executive officer of its

our core business, we are doubling down on growing our expanding platforms,
which includes digital, special events and marketing services to ensure
that the company thrives in the increasingly digital landscape of news and
information.”
