On Tuesday, Oct. 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Sachse Construction in partnership with Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan is hosting a Construction Academy for 500 metro Detroit students to offer a one-day event filled with 37 different skilled trades training and demonstrations from 27 companies across the state of Michigan.
Sachse is celebrating its 25th anniversary by giving back to the community with an event that is meant to encourage high school students to consider the skilled trades as a rewarding career path after high-school and help fill the skilled trades gap in Detroit.
Confirmed speakers include:
- Detroit Mayor Mike Duggan
- Todd Sachse, Founder & CEO of Sachse Construction
- Margaret Trimer-Hartley, president and CEO of Junior Achievement of Southeastern Michigan
The event will take place at Eastern Market- Shed 3, 2934 Russell St.
