Driven, ambitious, creative, intelligent, analytical…those are a few words that describe Jan Harrington-Davis. A Detroit native, Harrington-Davis is a great example of what can be accomplished when hard work and determination are combined.
Since joining Henry Ford Health System in 2001, Harrington-Davis has climbed the ranks within the organization. In her current position as Director of Employee/Labor Relations, Diversity and Compliance, she oversees the development and implementation of labor and employee relations strategies, policies and practices for the health system, including partnering on the oversight and management of collective bargaining agreements.
She is also responsible for the design, implementation and maintenance of an effective diversity/affirmative action program within the organization that is in compliance with government regulations as well as meets corporate goals and objectives.
Under her leadership, Henry Ford has deployed a strategy to align employee/labor relations across the health system, established a partnership with Michigan Rehabilitation Services to hire more employees with disabilities and developed partnerships with Focus: HOPE and local churches to provide job readiness training to the community. Since 2010 Henry Ford has ranked first or second in diversity according to Diversity Inc.
Ms. Harrington-Davis earned a MBA from University of Detroit – Mercy and holds a certification in Labor Relations (CLRP).
