Brandon Williams has been making music since the age of 12.The multi-instrumentalist, producer, composer and engineer, from Detroit and now 34, has an impressive résumé.
A former protégé of prolific producer Michael J. Powell, best known for his work with Anita Baker, Williams has produced such notables as Janet Jackson, Jazmine Sullivan and Jadakiss, among others.
One particularly fruitful collaboration was with Vickie Winans on the gospel songstress’ 2009 album, “How I Got Over.” It
won a Stellar Award — the gospel music industry’s equivalent to the Grammy — plus eight additional Stellar nominations as well as an NAACP Image Award nomination and a Grammy nomination.
As a musician, Williams has performed with, among others, Morris Day and the Time, Kim Burrell, Talib Kweli, George Duke, Musiq Soulchild, Joe Sample, Jonathan Butler, the Isley Brothers, Wyclef Jean and Norman Brown.
In addition, Brandon Williams’ music has been used in numerous AT&T and Honda commercials.
