Crystal holds a bachelors of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from North Carolina A&T State University; where she was a student athlete on a full bowling scholarship. She was a major contributor to A&T being the first HBCU to compete in the National Intercollegiate Bowling Championship. She is also a proud Alumnus of Cass Technical High School.
Her engineering career started at Ford Motor Company as a college intern. She went on to complete the Ford College Graduate Program, and became a Design and Release Engineer. She Transitioned to Quality as a Plant Vehicle Lead Engineer, where she obtained her Six Sigma Black Belt Certification.
She began her career at General Motors in 2012. Since her start there she has helped successfully launch the Cadillac XTS, the Chevy Impala, and the award winning Car of the Year, the Chevrolet Corvette, as the Supplier Quality Lead Engineer for Seats. She is member of GMAAN, and has done community work with Gilda’s House, Habitat for Humanities, and Life Remodeled.
Her passion is Music. She has served as the minister of music at Lomax Temple AME Zion Church in Detroit for the past 10 years. God has always been first in her life, which was instilled in her by her parents, Rev Ronald L Bailey and Rosetta Bailey, and well as her grandmother, Mozell Kennedy. She feels her life has always been favored and takes no real credit for her accomplishments.
Crystal is the proud owner of Shine Productions LLC; An Audiovisual and Consulting Company, that specializes in A/V, Lighting, Backline, and Live Streaming. She is on a short list of Female A/V company owners in the country.
Crystal is the Head Coach of Varsity Girls Basketball at her alma mater Gesu Catholic School as well as the Detroit District Director of Youth for the AME Zion Church. It’s such a huge honor and blessing to watch the kids you have mentored grow into successful individuals, eagerly ready to help those behind them.
Her hobbies include cooking, traveling, playing piano, bowling, and playing golf.
Crystal has come in contact with some extraordinary people that have humbly helped to pave the way for her. For that she is truly grateful.
