Kola Restaurant & Ultra Lounge, House of Zuri and Freshwaves Entertainment celebrate African tradition with a special night of fun, food, music and fashion. Saturday, August 29, 2015 Kola Restaurant and Ultra Lounge hosts Ankara African Prints Night at the area’s premier cultural venue.
Ankara styles are some of the most gorgeous African dresses providing comfort and elegance. These patterns are showcased in the designs presented by House of Zuri. Restaurateur, Dr. Ime Ekpenyong says their goal is to highlight African culture. What better way than with fashion, food and music by Freshwaves Entertainment in the 120-seat venue.
Recently featured at the 32nd African World Festival in Detroit – House of Zuri has a way of “highlighting the traditional as well as the non-traditional in every piece. So you’ll always see something exciting and appealing,” notes Ekpenyong.
The organizers are encouraging everyone to wear their traditional African attire to Kola Lounge that evening. There’s even a special contest for those with the right look that includes free dinner, entry and a gift offered by House of Zuri.
