Despite all the allegations of bad behavior on the bench, Wayne County Circuit Judge Wade McCree is running for reelection. McCree has already filed paperwork with the state.
McCree was suspended without pay last year for having an intimate relationship with a woman whose child support and custody case he was presiding over.
The Michigan Supreme Court has until June to decide McCree’s fate. The Judical Tenure Commission has recommended that McCree be suspended for six years, a penalty that would be effective even if voters reelected the judge.
