The landscape of healthcare is ever changing especially in the larger urban city areas. The Detroit Metro area has been especially challenged due to socio-economic issues, the lack of access to proper care, and a lackadaisical approach to the quality of healthcare from both patients and practitioners. Navigating through today’s intricate healthcare maze requires young innovative superstars to help create a brighter future for Detroit.
Chanelle Smith, RN, BSc, is a 27-year old native of Detroit. She possesses a unique passion for patient care and zeal to inspire future healthcare leaders. Ms. Smith is the sole owner of Pathway Living Network, LLC a nurse case management company. Pathway Living Network, LLC facilitates the coordination of care for complex catastrophically injured patients. A strategy of multiple disciplines and innovative approaches are introduced to regain one’s health, dignity, and independence.
Chanelle is one of the youngest business owners in her field in the state of Michigan. Her tenacity for growth and success is evident in her past accomplishments. She graduated with honors from Berkley High, Michigan State University in 2010 with a Bachelor of Science in Physiology, and has since then obtained her Registered Nurse licensure. Chanelle is currently a member of the Nurse Service Organization. She continues to work with the metro-Detroit area and surrounding communities on a daily basis. Her motto is striving to make a difference by impacting ones life in hopes of making a positive change through the use of rehabilitation.
