Frontier Airlines begins new non-stop service between Detroit and Phoenix
today and reinstates seasonal service to Denver and Trenton, N.J. To celebrate this new
service, Frontier is offering special introductory fares as low as $99 one-way on these new
routes as of today.
Nationally, Frontier is adding new non-stop service in 41 markets today throughout the
United States and is also re-launching service in 27 seasonal markets as well. Service to both
Denver and Trenton will operate daily, and service to Phoenix will operate on Monday,
Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Currently Frontier has service to Orlando, Fla.
“Travelers between big cities have enjoyed low fares while many markets have remained
overpriced and underserved,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president – commercial. “Frontier’s
low fares in these new markets will benefit millions of new fliers who are forced to drive because
they haven’t found affordable air travel options – or they simply stay at home.”
“Total passenger traffic at Detroit Metropolitan Airport has jumped 8 percent for the first
two months of 2016,” said Airport Authority CEO Thomas Naughton. “A key factor in our growth
is new service offered by airlines like Frontier. Adding new air carrier routes provides our travelers with
more reasons to choose DTW and ultimately benefits our local economy.”
Customers can take advantage of Frontier’s bundled choice, The WORKS containing
Frontier’s most popular options for one low price. The WORKS is available at FlyFrontier.com at
time of initial booking and includes one carry-on bag, one checked bag, best available seat
including Stretch and Exit Row options, full refundability when canceled at least 24 hours prior
to scheduled departure, no change fees and priority boarding may apply.
Tickets must be purchased by 11:59 pm Eastern time on Apr. 15, 2016 for nonstop
travel Apr. 26 through May 24, 2016 or Aug. 23 through Oct. 26, 2016. Fares are valid for travel
on Tuesday or Wednesday dependent on days of operation.
