Forgotten Harvest Unveils 2015 Holiday Cards; Proceeds Help to Feed Metro Detroit’s Hungry

Forgotten Harvest has unveiled its 2015 festive holiday card program. All profits directly benefit the hungry in metro Detroit, where nearly one in six people (666,000) / one in four children still face food insecurity.

Holiday cards with envelopes will be sold in packs of 20 for a suggested donation of $28, which includes shipping and handling. Special tribute cards are also available for a donation of $5 each, which can be inserted into a holiday card as a wonderful gift. Forgotten Harvest cards will provide 140 meals per pack and 25 meals for each tribute card. Last year, holiday card proceeds helped Forgotten Harvest provide over 150,000 meals to metro Detroiters in need.

There are four great holiday card designs to choose from, including last year’s popular “Michigan Mitten” and “Motor City” cards. Three of the cards are designed by Matt LeBarre Illustration in Royal Oak. A fourth card, new to this year’s mix, is “Detroit Holiday Spirit,” designed by award-winning Detroit Free Press cartoonist Mike Thompson.
