Experience ‘BADLAND’ on your iOS device

If you’re a fan of immersive mobile gaming environments, “Badland” might be worth checking out. It will be available for iPad, iPhone, and iPod Touch on April 4 in the App Store.

We’re seeing more innovation in mobile platforms, and “BADLAND,” from developer Frogmind, winner of the ‘Best Project’ at 2012’s Game Connection, wants to embrace the very best of what this platform has to offer.

Here’s what you need to know:

“BADLAND” is an atmospheric side-scrolling action adventure located in a gorgeous forest full of various inhabitants, trees and flowers. Although the forest looks like it’s from some beautiful fairytale, there seems to be something terribly wrong. The player controls one of the forest’s inhabitants to discover what’s going on. Through his journey he discovers astonishing amount of imaginative traps and obstacles. The game takes side-scrollers to the next level with its innovative physics based gameplay combined with the extremely beautiful atmospheric graphics and audio.

One of the stand-out features of the game is that it uses one-touch controls, which pairs great with touch screen technology. As we all know, the graphics of mobile games are as good as the consoles these days, but the controls can be rather clunky when it comes to engaging in long term gaming.

“BADLAND” also takes full advantage of the Retina Display and offers local multiplayer for up to four players playing with the same device. The multiplayer is all about surviving of the fittest with no rules in the “BADLAND” forest. It seems that most people either are really into multiplayer game environments or they’re not. “BADLAND” gives you the option to play either way, alone or with a group of players around the world.

As with most iOS games, you can play “BADLAND” across devices, moving easily from iPad to iPhone and even Apple TV if you’re looking for a big screen gaming experience.
