The 9th Annual Trinity International Film Festival has become Detroit’s signature event for independent filmmakers worldwide to showcase their movies. This year’s festival will feature over 40 films, from various countries and will take place August 21-22, 2015 at The Carr Center, in Detroit (311 E. Grand River, Detroit, Michigan 48226). “We have a variety of features and short films for people to enjoy, everything from action, drama, animation, and comedy, we definitely have movies that will capture your attention,” says festival co-director, features Montgomery.Detroit is home to many talented filmmakers, and Trinity International Film Festival will highlight some of the work of our very own local Directors, including: Gabrielle Gamache-Nettles, Ty Staples, Dylan Wilson, Mike Horgan, Randy Holloway, Anthony Green, Ozzie Wells, Mike Johnson, Brenda Perryman, Royal Jackson, and Producer, Raymond Rolak.
Winners of this year’s best feature and short film categories will receive a dynamic prize pack from Sony which will include more than $3,500 worth of Sony editing software!
We are excited to announce that the opening night feature film for the festival is “Beyond The Mask,” starring Andrew Cheney, John Rhys-Davies, and Kara Killmer. The film also features Michigan based actors in supporting roles such as, Charlie Newhart, Michael Ellison and many others. The screening of this film will be free and open to the public on Friday, August 21st, at The Carr Center.
