Detroit Seniors Invited to Senior Friendship Day July 18

The City of Detroit General Services Department, Parks and Recreation Division is helping the city’s seasoned residents stay active as well as find—if not maintain—friendships.

Detroit seniors are invited to have a day of free fun at the annual Senior Friendship Day July 18 at the Aretha Franklin Amphitheatre, 2600 Atwater.  The event is from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. with gates opening at 9:30 a.m.

Participants will enjoy music, raffles, fitness presentations, resource fair and free refreshments.  To reserve a spot, seniors should go online to detroitmi.gov/seniorfriendship.  The deadline is Monday, June 26.
