The Detroit Public Library hosts its 150th Anniversary Gala event to raise funds for the “Children Who Can Read, Succeed” literacy initiative, a program designed to enhance the skills of students, grades K-3. World-renowned novelist, playwright and social commentator Walter Mosley is the special guest.
