- Login to the front-end of the website; you will be redirected to your profile page.
- Using the Administer Articles administration menu on the right click the link Create Article; you will be redirected to the create article page.
- Enter the article title in the Title input box.
- Leave the Alias input box empty, this will be automatically created when the article is saved.
- In the Editor Box type, or copy & paste your article.
- *If copying and pasting from Microsoft Word ensure the formatting is removed using the Toggle Source Code Tool
- Click the Toggle Source Code icon in the editor box toolbar; the editor box will switch to code view.
- Find the auto-generated MS Word source code.
- Using your mouse, select the code and press the delete key.
- Click the Toggle Source Code icon in the editor box toolbar; the editor box will switch back to editor view.
- To expand the editor box view select the expander icon located on the bottom right corner of the editor box.
Hover over the expander icon until the mouse pointer switches to double-arrow view.
Left click & hold the mouse pointer to expand the editor box to your desired width & height.
Release the mouse pointer to lock the width & height into place. - Once the article has been entered in the editor box, scroll down the page to the Publishing Section to set the article parameters.
- From the category drop-down menu select the article category.
- In the Author’s Alias text box, type the author’s name or leave the box blank if you’re entering your own article.
- In the Status drop down box, select the publication option: published, unpublished, archived, or trashed.
- In the Featured drop down box, leave the option set to No.
- In the Start Publishing date selector box, leave the option blank (this will default to immediate) or select a future date the article should automatically publish.
- In the Finish Publishing date selector box, leave the option blank (this will default to never) or select a future date the article should automatically archive.
- In the Access drop down box, leave the option to public.
- In the Language drop down box, leave the option set to All.
- In the Meta description input box, leave this field blank or enter a short description (max 30 words) of the article that will appear in major search engines such as Google & Yahoo.
- In the Keywords input box, leave this field blank or enter keywords separated by a comma (max 7 words) that are relevant to your article that can be found in major search engines such as Google & Yahoo.
- Scroll up to the Editor section and click Save to submit the new article.
- Once your article is published navigate to the article by selecting the article category from the menu bar.
