DDOT bus service to Belle Isle ideal for Memorial Day Weekend festivities

BelleIsle-118.0.0Memorial Day weekend is a great time for families and the community to enjoy the amenities that Belle Isle Park has to offer. The new DDOT bus service to Belle Isle via the #12 Conant route, effective since April 23rd, is a great way to get on and off the island by simply paying the standard $1.50 bus fare with no additional park entry fees. “With the holiday approaching, we encourage Detroiters to utilize this service and experience the benefits of using the bus to get on and off the Island without the need for a Recreation Passport,” said DDOT Director Dan Dirks.

Following the Memorial Day holiday, Belle Isle will host the Detroit Grand Prix in June, which will cause the Belle Isle bus service to be suspended from June 3rd through the 5th. Regular service will resume on Monday, June 6th.

Regular service for the #12 Conant bus route is as follows: Monday – Friday between the hours of 5:50 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Service to Belle Isle runs roughly every 50 minutes.
