
Talented young hopefuls are rehearsing and perfecting their performances to prepare to take the stage at Hard Rock Café Detroit for the annual Covenant Idol on May 21st and compete for a top prize that will put one lucky winner center stage at a major summer concert.
The event’s participants are comprised of residents from Covenant House Michigan, a Detroit-based shelter that serves homeless and at-risk youth and students from Covenant House Academy, alternative charter high schools for dropouts and at-risk students ages 16-22.

Celebrity judges include hip hop artist and producer Hush; award winning R&B artist Thornetta Davis; Detroit-based recording artist, producer and actor Mike Ellison; and Mosaic Youth Theatre Detroit founder and president, Rick Sperling.

Admission is $5 donation at the door. Hard Rock Café will donate a portion of food and drink purchases from 5:00 to 10:00 pm to Covenant House Michigan.
