Arrest warrant issued for UAW Vice President General Holiefield after accidentally shooting wife

A warrant for arrest has been issued, charging UAW Vice President General Holiefield with reckless use of a firearm in relation to an accidental shooting at his home in Harrison Township on Dec. 30.
According to reports by Detroit News:
Sheriff’s officials brought the case forward to the Macomb County Prosecutor’s office on Tuesday. warrant was signed Thursday, according to Lt. John Michalke, spokesman for the sheriff’s department. Holiefield, who was not in police custody Friday, faces a charge of reckless use of a firearm. The crime is a misdemeanor and carries up to 90 days in jail and a $500 fine.
According to the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call came into the dispatch office about 8:30 p.m. Dec. 30 reporting a shooting at the home in the 39700 block of Mazuchet, near the southern part of the Selfridge Air National Guard Base.
The single round fired struck his wife in the abdomen
His wife, Monica Morgan, 50, underwent surgery and has been recovering. Michalke said her condition was unknown Friday.
