“Is Monogamy A Myth?” Local Best-Selling Author Elizabeth Ann Atkins Launches a National Conversation Inspired by her Novel, “Husbands, Incorporated.”
On February 7, 2015, Atkins will lead a live audience in a steamy, controversial conversation that asks, “Is Monogamy a Myth?” and is there an alternative to relationships as we know them?

Detroit, MI — As 50 Shades of Grey opens in theaters for Valentine’s Day, local best-selling author Elizabeth Ann Atkins will lead live audiences into the exotic world of her latest novel, Husbands, Incorporated, a trilogy about a Detroit company that provides fantasy marriages for women around the world. The first “conversation” takes place at Jungle Juice Bar at 14929 Charlevoix Street in Grosse Pointe Park on Saturday, February 7, 2015 from 6:00 pm-8:00 pm.  The event is free and open to the public, but space is limited.  Guests are encouraged to RSVP atwww.ElizabethAnnAtkins444.com.

In her edgy new series of private, public and media events, Author Elizabeth Atkins will lead titillating talks that challenge taboos and traditions about romantic relationships—posing questions such as: “Is monogamy a myth?” “Is true love a lie?  And “How can we stop ‘wedded bliss’ from becoming an ‘abyss’ of misery that ends in divorce?”

“I’ve launched these conversations for the same reason that I wrote Husbands, Incorporated,” says Atkins.  “I want to inspire a movement for men and women to create new ways to live and love.  And I want to help women seize their power to enjoy mind-blowing pleasure, so they can fearlessly unleash passion in everything they do.”

Disillusioned with dating after her divorce, Author Elizabeth Ann Atkins conceived a revolutionary new way for women to enjoy perfect marriages and her latest novel showcases how.  “Husbands, Incorporated pays men to provide mind-blowing pleasure during a legal marriage that ends after one year,” Atkins says.  “The man receives $150,000, as promised in a prenuptial agreement, and the woman is free to enjoy another fantasy marriage if she chooses.”

The super sexy, erotic novel follows four women and the intense drama that unfolds as they trail blaze into unchartered, taboo territory and burst open a Pandora’s box of conflicts about monogamy, relationships, self-image and society’s expectations.

“I want to provoke new dialogue and inspire women to no longer fear, but to embrace their sexuality, to know what they truly want and to demand the best in every area of their lives—including sex,” Atkins says.  “Unfortunately, women’s sexual satisfaction is in crisis.”  She cites a University of New Mexico study that reveals the following:

Meanwhile, adultery is a top culprit for the 50% divorce rate, which spikes to 67% for second marriages and 73% for third marriages, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control.  “My relationship revolution at Husbands, Inc. puts the passion back in marriage and ensures that women enjoy pleasure and power.”
