“There is a magic in head wrapping, one that many spiritual and cultural groups across the globe have tapped into for centuries,” said Zarinah El-Amin Naeem, founder of the event. “This is our team’s fourth year producing this event, and now that head wrapping is becoming a trend in the fashion industry, this expo offers that one-of-a-kind experience for knowledge, entertainment and fun.”
Whether worn as a religious, spiritual, cultural or a fashion statement, head wrapping is an art enjoyed globally by men and women. Event attendees can enjoy a day of shopping, styling, workshops, seminars, fashion shows and networking. Special guests include nationally recognized Nigerian gele artist Segun Gele, who will lead a workshop on the business of cultural fashion.
